Just finished watching this bitter sweet documentary. It's a pretty short film without any hollywood plot but a pretty strong theme against the ordinarily beautiful backdrops of Mongolia, Japan, Namibia and the U.S. I can say that I was sad, happy, awed, and also LMAO watching the cute little pudges* eat, sleep, play, learn, and cry as they discover the first year of life. It would be pretentious of me to judge this document as a critic; however, as a viewer, I want to commend the cinematography. The images shot in Mongolia were aesthetically pleasing and one can freeze frame any part of the section on Bayar (from Mongolia) and it would be a decadent snack for the eyes.
*Pudges: refer to the cute little chubby babies in the film...not your stomach fat
